Data Integrity Standards • February 2026

"At Zainformatics, we recognize that biological data is the most personal information an individual possesses. Our privacy framework is built to uphold the trust of the global research community."

Data Collection & Use

We collect genomic sequences and research metadata solely to perform requested computational analyses. Zainformatics does not sell or lease biological data to third-party pharmaceutical or marketing entities.

Genomic Data Security

All biological sequences are stored in air-gapped or encrypted environments. We use AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit to ensure the highest level of research integrity.

Anonymization Protocols

To protect participant privacy, we encourage clients to de-identify data before upload. Zainformatics treats all incoming sequences as sensitive research assets and limits internal access to designated analysts only.

Third-Party Disclosure

We only disclose research data to third-party cloud providers (such as AWS or Google Cloud Biotech) specifically for the purpose of high-performance computing, under strict confidentiality agreements.

Data Retention & Deletion

By default, Zainformatics retains raw sequence data for 30 days following the completion of a project to allow for follow-up analysis. After this period, data is permanently scrubbed from our high-performance clusters unless a long-term storage agreement is in place.
